TFC is a marine-approved level sensor certified according to EU RO MR.
The measurement principle is based on reed switch elements placed inside the measuring rod, which are activated by a magnetic float. An analog output signal of 4-20mA, 0-5V, or 0-10V is provided with a measuring resolution of 5, 10, or 20 mm.
The marine-approved version is entirely made of stainless steel and can optionally be equipped with an integrated Pt1000 element for temperature measurement.
The EU RO MR Type Approval Certificate is issued for products intended to be installed on board a ship, in compliance with the requirements of the European Union Recognized Organization Mutual Recognition (EU RO MR).
According to Article 10 of Regulation (EC) No 391/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 April 2009, the following classification societies, recognized by the EU, have agreed on the technical and procedural conditions for the mutual recognition of this certificate:

- Croatian Register of Shipping (CRS)

- Indian Register of Shipping (IRS)
- Korean Register (KR)
- Lloyd’s Register Group Ltd. (LR)
- Nippon Kaiji Kyokai General Incorporated Foundation (ClassNK)
- Polish Register of Shipping (PRS)
- RINA Services S.p.A. (RINA)
